All ages have opportunities outside Sunday worship to grow closer to God. On
Sundays during the non-summer months, a Christian Education class for teens and
adults meets at 9:15 am. Additional teen and adult study opportunities take
place seasonally, such as the Lenten soup and study on Wed. evenings. During
the 10:30 service, youth are invited to leave the service after the Song of
Praise and return at the Peace for special study focusing on one of the readings
for that day. One can start attending any of these classes at any time!
One can see as the Peace is passed during any service that Trinity is a social
place! This hospitality is extended to coffee hour after the 10:30 service.
Throughout the year, we have pot luck suppers (called Merry Mixers) and other
social gatherings. Our sense of community grows as we work together. There are
many groups with a social or service mission:
- The Women of Trinity meet the second Tuesday of each month at 10 am (with the
exception of July and August). Occasionally the meetings are replaced with lunch
outings. The mission of the Women of Trinity is to serve God by working together
for Trinity Church with hearts and hands, to serve Him by reaching out to the
community, and, when possible, by trying to alleviate suffering in the greater
world. They strive towards these goals, while supporting each other with true
friendship, kindness and compassion.
- The Youth Group has merged with several other local Episcopal Churches.
Typically two events are scheduled each month, usually on the 1st and 3rd Sundays
of each month. Young adults, grades 6-12, are welcome!
- The Men's Group meets for breakfast, camaraderie, discussion, and parish-wide
support projects at 8am on the 1st Saturday of each month. All men, sons, grandsons
and friends of Trinity are welcome to attend these meetings.
- The Trinity Book Club meets periodically to discuss books chosen by the group.
- The Trinity Choir practices several Sundays a month after the 10:30 service and
performs usually one Sunday a month. Sometimes the youth will also prepare a
special musical are dramatic selection.
- The Altar Guild consists of four teams of volunteers, each which serves one
week a month, to arrange the flowers and prepare the church for each service.
Don’t see the perfect group for you – start something! You’ll be sure to find
others at Trinity with the same interest.
Outreach is a big focus of Trinity, as one can see on the Outreach webpage. Trinity
offers many opportunities to help others and fulfill that important need we
have to pass on some of our blessings to others. One of our annual
highlights is the Fall Festival -- a major fundraising project to support Trinity
and its Outreach projects. This delicious ham and oyster dinner, plus antique sale
and much more, takes place on a Saturday each fall.
The Pastoral Care committee helps Trinity members and families in their time of
need. The Lay Pastoral Care group visits parishioners in hospitals, nursing/rehab
homes, assisted living, or those that are homebound. The Kitchen Ministry
provides luncheons/receptions for Trinity parishioners and their families following
a funeral service. They also assist by organizing meals to help parishioners who
have recently been in the hospital. The Episcopal Senior Ministries Liaison
provides information from the Diocese for seniors.
Finally, it takes many other groups to make a church run smoothly, such as the
Welcome, Property, Finance, Cemetery, Liturgy and Preservation Committees. All
would welcome your input and talents!

Trinity office at (301)627-2636.
